If I was locked up in a Totally 80s rubber room where speakers blaring on all four sides were injecting aural and blissful decadence into my skull then the tunes of Mr Alan Wilkis would be on my playlist (even though his tunes were written ex-80s era). Reminiscent of the synth driven soundtrack hits of 80s films and the coolness and funk of Disco pop legends Earth, Wind and Fire, this artist and funk-meister's ear for precision in the studio and Philip Bailey-esque falsetto make you wanna dance until your ass turns into a mush of muscle. ISR had the opportunity to chat with him recently on the heels of his latest self-released Prince-inspired EP Pink And Purple.
